Decco U.S. Post-Harvest, Inc. has announced the hiring of four new employees in Washington state. The new hires bring a wide spectrum of experience that will help the company continue to grow and pioneer postharvest technology.
Garret Babst joins Decco after 11 years with the Northern Fruit Company. Babst is SQG/HACCP Certified and has a background in hydro cooler construction and refrigeration technology. Babst brings extensive experience with post harvest chemicals, specifically with cherries and apples, which will be an asset to Decco.
Josh Gooler brings his expertise in project coordination, scheduling and budgeting to Decco. Gooler previously worked with Williams Plant Services, beginning as a journeyman electrician and advancing to the position of field engineer. Decco is confident Gooler’s vast experience will help the company continue to grow.
Jeff Stottlemyre spent 15 years with the Washington State Inspection Service, where he formed relationships with the majority of packers in Washington’s Yakima Valley. Stottlemyre’s relationships, along with his knowledge of California requirements, fruit grading, conditioning and the general packing environment is highly valuable to Decco.
Stephanie Bryner, an analytical chemist, joins Decco at the new Yakima, Washington Analytical Laboratory. Bryner will provide pesticide residue analysis services and technical support for the PNW business, which includes pome fruit, stone fruits and potatoes. Additionally, she will oversee the Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification of Decco’s production facility. Bryner has a M.S. and B.S. degree in chemistry from Central Washington University.
